I am writing to you today to stand with you in your support to raise New York's current minimum wage from $7.25/hour to just $8.50/hour. Not only is it the right thing to do but it's also shown to improve the economy of New York State and it will provide the groundwork for long-term growth opportunities!
As you know because we agree, New York's Minimum Wage isn't just a minimum wage... it's POVERTY wage. We need to raise it now.
Senate Republicans continue to put the brakes on this necessary measure, maintaining this social injustice and continuing their record of supporting the few wealthiest at the expense of those who really need help.
