Dear Aldermen:
I am requesting the City Zoning and Planning Committee and Board of Aldermen vote NO to the changes in the City's zoning as proposed by New England Development for the planned Chestnut Hill Square on Route 9.
I believe:
* An increase in the project's size above that allowed by current zoning would have major negative implications for traffic and quality of life not only along Route 9, but also create negative spill-over effects throughout Newton.
* Changes in zoning would allow, and in my view even attract, proposals for other mega-complexes in Newton to which I am opposed.
