Dear Chairman Hyman,

I urge you to reconsider the requirement that gas meters be located on the front of new residential buildings in Philadelphia. In a city of row houses with narrow facades and sidewalks, this requirement has terrible visual impact on the public streetscape. Philadelphia's appealing and walkable streets are a major reason for the growth in residential construction. We must preserve this essential Philadelphia asset! I am further concerned about the dangers of these meters in a public environment.

Thank you for considering this important issue.

Sincerely,
