Subject: Greene Cty Supports Keeping Our Levers
To the Greene County Leadership,
I am writing to support the resolution to keep our lever system because I agree with the Kingston Branch of AAUW. This is not the time to make this change. The State needs to know that Greene County wants them to do everything in their power to keep the levers.
- Technical experts and the CIA agree, no software based system is secure
- Now that Ballot Marking Devices are in each polling location, NY is HAVA compliant
- The op-scanner/paper ballot system is subject to fraud, extremely expensive to maintain, and not transparent
- the proposed audit sample is not statistically valid and cannot provide confidence in the integrity of the op-scan/paper ballot system
- Levers work!
