Dear Rep. Cross and Senator Radogno:
I realize Pat Quinn and the Democrats are putting immense pressure on Republican members to support the tax hikes.
That's why I'm writing you today -- to let you know that you have my support for Republicans' efforts to hold strong against these tax hikes.
I know that you'll hold your caucuses strong against these tax hikes because you won't allow Republicans to bail out the Democrats for six years of mismanagement of state government.
We know tax hikes will make our struggling economy even worse.
Tax increases slow economic growth, threaten jobs and shrink Illinois families’ paychecks even further.
I hope you will continue to stand on time-tested economic principles of tax relief and limited government.
Please hold all Republicans strong against the tax hikes.
Giving the Democrats the votes they need to pass them will do tremendous harm to the state of Illinois -- and to the Republican Party.
