Dear Frederick County Delegation:
I care about supporting our local businesses and urge you to pass a wine corkage bill during the upcoming 2010 General Assembly Session. Our restaurants need as much help in this economy as they can get. Creating the first jurisdiction within Maryland to lawfully allow consenting patrons to bring their own special bottle of wine to the restaurant pursuant to the restaurant's policies would be a major boon for our economic development and further distinguish us. I want restaurants to be able to choose to allow this practice, not a government-mandated requirement with onerous reports and fees.
Please help strengthen our county and its local businesses by passing this proposed legislation and seeing it through the General Assembly.
