Montgomery County Council members:
I ask that you established the new text amendment to prohibit more big boxes in our communities. The safety and livability of neighborhoods in and around Germantown have recently seen significant increases in traffic due to existing shopping centers such as Milestone and Neelsville.
The new TMX zone should not create loop holes for developers to over burden our community with large destination style shopping centers. I urge the Montgomery County Council to implement this new amendment and therefore create true pedestrian friendly mixed uses within Germantown.
